Joanne has been practicing yoga since 1997 and began teaching in 2004 immediately after completing her 200 hour yoga teacher certification at The Lourdes Institute of Holistic Studies. Her style is a slow flow practice consisting of classical Hatha yoga postures created especially to bring your focus and awareness to your breath and body alignment allowing you to feel invigorated while stilling and calming the mind. Joanne’s classes are greatly inspired by her continued studies with various Hatha yoga teachers throughout the U.S. and her committed meditation practice of Teachings in Silence under the guidance of Dr. Bhagwan Awatramani of Zurich, Switzerland.
Joanne’s passion and devotion to yoga are deeply influenced in her teaching as she tries to teach as she would like to be taught with compassion, patience, optimism and encouragement to trust in one’s self. Her classes are appropriate for All Levels and offers corporate/group classes as well as individual private sessions.
